We strive to build a diverse and inclusive community where women not only enter the field but thrive as leaders, innovators, and mentors. Through Building Speed, we envision a future where the contributions of female leaders are celebrated and integral to the motorsports world.

Meet Our Team

Amanda.HEIC

Amanda Perez

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Amanda Perez is a graduate student at The Ohio State University studying Mechanical Engineering. Amanda has worked as a race strategy intern for TLM Racing, gaining hands-on experience in motorsports. She has also worked with Ford Performance on tire modeling and damper analysis, furthering her expertise in vehicle dynamics and simulation. Passionate about racing and engineering, Amanda strives to bridge the gap between technical innovation and performance on the track.

Megan Pron

Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer

 

Megan Pron is a marketing and sports management student at Miami University. Ever since she was little she knew she wanted to work in motorsports, but did not know where to start. Over her first year at college she taught herself how to make a resume, Linkedin, network, and interview which eventually landed her an internship at Pikes Peak and the opportunity to shadow at multiple European races next fall including Formula One.

Catalina Schlein

Chief Communications Officer

 

Catalina Schlein is a sophomore studying sports management with a Motorsports concentration at the University of South Carolina. She is also minoring in German and art history, with aspirations to work in Motorsports in Europe in the future. Since before she can remember, her family watched F1 together every Sunday. She gradually became more interested in the sport, and attended her first race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, in 2021. The rest is history: she was hooked. Since then, Catalina has attended races of various other series, including NASCAR and IMSA. . This summer, she will be interning in operations at the Laguna Seca WeatherTech Raceway in Monterrey, California.
